My Final Project for Figure Class

So one of my favorite classes in Ringling was Interpretive Figure, and definitely not because of the fact that I photographed complete strangers in the nude. It was a class where I could *finally* submit photos of subject matter I was interested in, people and the form. So along with my love of concepts, I devised a project for my final based on the idea of Nightmares. I was having enough in those days, god knows why.
I chose some of the most popular themes of dreams people seem to have: Being chased, falling, drowning, suffocation, and having a threatening presence or an "unwanted visitor". So with one week to shoot all these as a series with 2 photos per concept, I was swamped! But I think the results weren't too bad :) I don't have any BTS of the shoots but here are my final results:

I had a lot of fun doing these, and hopefully I'll do something along the same lines soon. I really enjoy making photos that actually MEAN something..instead of pretty to the eye type of things. Not that there's anything wrong with those sometimes, but to have meanings really makes the photo all the more worthwhile. For me, and for my audience.
